In March 2025, Israel imposed a total siege on Gaza, blocking the entry of critical aid including food and medical supplies. Despite these restrictions, Islamic Relief was able to briefly resume hot meal distributions at a shelter in Gaza City supporting displaced families and children, many of whom are battling cancer.
Although a ceasefire is now in place, only a limited amount of food is entering Gaza. Islamic Relief continues working through every possible channel to secure local supplies and deliver urgently needed humanitarian assistance.
