Refund Policy
Effective Date: 1 May 2026
AppealChange is committed to ensuring that all donations are processed securely, accurately, and transparently.
As a charitable organisation, donations are generally considered voluntary and non-refundable once they have been processed. This is because donated funds are often allocated promptly to charitable projects, humanitarian aid, and operational activities.
Eligible Refund Requests
AppealChange may issue refunds in the following circumstances:
- A duplicate donation was made accidentally.
- An incorrect donation amount was entered in error.
- A technical or processing error occurred during payment.
- An unauthorised transaction can be reasonably demonstrated.
Refund requests are assessed on a case-by-case basis.
Refund Request Time Limit
To be eligible for consideration, refund requests must be submitted within 30 days of the original donation date.
Requests received after this period may not be eligible for a refund.
How to Request a Refund
To request a refund, please contact us by email and provide:
- Your full name
- Email address used for the donation
- Donation amount
- Date of donation
- Reason for the refund request
- Any relevant supporting information

Refund Processing
Where a refund is approved:
- The refund will be issued to the original payment method used for the donation.
- Refunds are typically processed within 5–10 business days, although processing times may vary depending on your bank or payment provider.
- AppealChange reserves the right to request additional information to verify a refund request.
Recurring Monthly Donations
Supporters may cancel recurring donations at any time.
Cancellation of a recurring donation will prevent future payments from being collected but will not automatically refund donations already processed.
Palestine Emergency Fund and Other Appeals
Donations made to the Palestine Emergency Fund or any other emergency appeal are normally non-refundable once funds have been allocated, committed, or distributed for charitable purposes.
However, refunds may still be considered where a duplicate payment, technical error, or payment processing issue has occurred.
Right to Refuse Refund Requests
AppealChange reserves the right to refuse refund requests where:
- The donation was made knowingly and voluntarily.
- No payment error occurred.
- The funds have already been allocated or distributed for charitable purposes.
- The request falls outside the refund eligibility criteria outlined in this policy.
Changes to This Policy
AppealChange may update this Refund Policy from time to time. Any changes will be published on our website.
